The syndicated series, "Front Page Drama," (originally called "The American Theater of Radio") was basically a commercial for Hearst's American Weekly magazine.
It featured dramatizations "inspired" by stories in the upcoming issue. Sometimes the drama had only a tenuous connection to the article. At the end of each episode, the announcer would give the story's headline and encourage listeners to read it.
